Aromatherapy for Gut Health & Gut Emotions

Aromatherapy for Gut Health & Gut Emotions

Did you know that your thoughts and emotions are directly connected to your gut health?

In 2001 I was faced with my biggest challenge ever…saving my life. After having an adverse reaction to a medication for a urinary tract infection, I developed Crohn’s, colitis, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Not fun!

If you have experienced, or known someone who has experienced intestinal upset, IBS, Crohn’s, IBD (irritable bowel disease), diverticulitis, diverticulosis, or celiac’s disease, then you know how painful it is, physically and psychologically.

You can’t think straight. You either get angry easily or are weepy and emotional often. You go back and forth between being somewhat ok and being depressed.

You feel lonely, abandoned, defeated, and not supported (even when it’s not true).

The feelings are real! And so is the pain.

Having solutions, resources, and support to help you through it is crucial! I know because that, is what SAVED my life!

Holistic Gut Health Tips to Help You Feel Better

Here are my top 5 tips to help you get started on your gut healthy journey. These were key habits I had to embrace, create, and follow consistently, at least until I got in a much healthier state.

  1. Stay hydrated with water, minerals & electrolytes.
  2. Add in digestive enzymes with meals.
  3. Clean Green to reduce chemical exposure. Learn more about how to clean green in Jennifer’s Cleaning Green Class.
  4. Get adequate rest so adrenals and gut can heal and restore. this means being in bed by 10:00pm.
  5. Create yourself a custom aromatherapy blend and smell it 3-6 times a day to keep you mind invigorated and connected to your gut communication system.
